FreedivingHome is built on trust, respect, and a shared love of freediving. These guidelines help us maintain a safe and welcoming community for everyone.

Introduction

These Community Guidelines apply to all users of FreedivingHome. By using our platform, you agree to follow these standards. They exist to protect our members and foster a positive environment where freedivers of all levels can connect, learn, and grow together.

Our guidelines are rooted in respect, safety, and honesty — the same values that keep us safe in the water.

Respectful Conduct

Treat every member with the respect you would want on a dive. We celebrate diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and perspectives.

Do

  • Do Be welcoming and supportive to new members
  • Do Give constructive feedback on dive techniques
  • Do Respect different training approaches and philosophies
  • Do Use inclusive language in all communications

Don't

  • Don't Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
  • Don't Use discriminatory language or slurs
  • Don't Publicly shame someone for their skill level
  • Don't Engage in personal attacks or trolling

Prohibited Content

To keep our community safe and focused, the following types of content are not allowed on FreedivingHome:

  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content outside the marketplace
  • Misleading safety information or dangerous dive advice
  • Illegal content or content promoting illegal activities
  • Sexually explicit or violent material
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Fake profiles, impersonation, or identity fraud

Privacy & Safety

Safety is at the heart of freediving and our platform. Protect yourself and others by following these principles:

  • Never share another member's personal information without consent
  • Do not share dive spot locations that are restricted or dangerous without proper warnings
  • Report any safety concerns about listed events or dive spots
  • Keep private conversations confidential
  • Use the buddy system — never encourage solo diving without proper safety measures
If you feel unsafe or encounter suspicious activity, please report it immediately. Your safety is our priority.

Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Our enforcement process is progressive and fair:

Warning

First-time or minor violations result in a warning with guidance on the specific rule violated.

Suspension

Repeated violations or serious offenses may result in a temporary account suspension.

Ban

Severe or persistent violations lead to permanent removal from the platform.

Appeals

We believe in fairness. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you have the right to appeal.

To submit an appeal, contact our support team with your account details and a description of the situation. We will review your case within 5 business days.
